Three quotes that will help you to change your life

biz strategies - contentAre you stuck in a mental rut of self doubt, anxiety, and stress? You’re not alone; so many people are. It can be easy to let our thoughts run away with us when we’re faced with seemingly overwhelming challenges. But, we have to master those thoughts and learn to replace them with hope, perseverance, and faith.

Why? I know from personal experience that our thoughts have the power to shape our reality. Every day I have to keep challenging myself to move past an injury I sustained as a young person that could have kept me wheelchair bound. Instead, by keeping faith in my future, I can have the life I want to make for myself. As a result, I’ve been able to make so many wonderful things happen. You can do it, too!

To help you get inspired, I’ve selected three quotes attributed to William James, an American pioneer in psychology and philosophy, and leading thinker. James knew and taught the power of mastering our thoughts.

Here are a few of his most important ideas:

“The greatest weapon against stress is our ability to choose one thought over another.” What we choose to focus on shapes our mood, our abilities, and ultimately our destiny.

Be not afraid of life. Believe that life is worth living, and your belief will help create the fact.” When we spend our days anxious about the future, we rob ourselves of the power to we have to choose in the present. Set out each day to act in your own best interests, rather than waiting for life to happen to you.

“Act as if what you do makes a difference. It does.” Your life matters! Have confidence that whatever mistakes you’ve made or challenges you face, you can still move forward with the power to change your life for the better.

When you’re ready to move past complacency and doubt, I can show you how! Together, we can reach for what’s POSSIBLE.
