“Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less.” Madame Marie Curie
I love that quote. I’ve shared it before, while writing about my story and the lessons I’ve learned. I want to share with you how you can challenge your fears and doubts, and have faith in yourself and your future.
In my own life, I had to find my faith in my future after I was told the injuries I had sustained would leave me wheelchair bound. But instead of accepting that I wouldn’t walk, wouldn’t stand, and that my life would be limited, I had to choose to imagine a different outcome and then make an effort to pursue that vision.
What I had to do, and others that overcome challenges as well have learned, is that you can’t choose to ‘believe in what you see.’ Instead, you have to have an inner vision of how you want your life to be, and through your efforts you’ll find you can see what you believe. That’s how faith works. That’s how vision is realized.
How can you make it work for you? Start by envisioning where you want to be. Then take the steps:
Get Up. When you’re down in a rut of self doubt and fear, choose to elevate your thoughts. Imagine what you could do if you believed something different.
Get Out. The next step builds on the idea of getting up. It’s easier to change your thoughts and challenge your fears when you get out to change your surroundings, habits, and talk with new people. Look outward for new perspective about what’s possible, and you’ll be changed inside, too.
Get Going. Thinking is only the beginning of the process. You can’t think your way out of a problem. You have to take positive actions. Small, positive actions are the building blocks of success. Small wins add up to big change. I know it’s true from my own experience!
Have faith in yourself and your dreams! I’m confident that you can make positive change, if you want to . That’s POSSIBLE, when you’re ready. Let me show you how!
